Would You Like Some Cake?
Jennifer Ann's Group 2017 Game Design Contest Door Prize Winner
Jennifer Ann's Group runs an annual game design contest to increase awareness around teen dating violence. The theme for 2017 was 'Consent'.
I pitched an idea around a game placing the player in the 'bad guy' position of someone that might break a rule of consent. The idea was to make the player feel like they were in the right to do so even though they weren't.
The pitch was chosen to become a finalist and move on to development. I used Unity and C# and created the game within the time frame of a few weeks. Two friends helped me with the art and I used free sounds and music.
Though the final game had several bugs due to time constraints, it was a lot of fun (and work) putting it together.
